Vermicelli Banana No Bake Cake


This is an easy and delicious snack u can make in no times. I had made this as an evening tea snack when my mom was with me. When we both are together, evening tea and a snack is a must to sit back, relax and tittle-tattle ON and this might extend for half an hour to one hour 😃. Being with mom or even talking with her over phone (if not near)is a big time relax for me, i believe the same for all of us.
OK, now coming to the dish, my mom liked it and she was like its very tasty and is very easy to make and we can make it for any sudden guests. Yes she always thinks about guests and loves to plate up. On to the recipe


Vermicelli Banana No Bake Cake
Preparation Time : 20 minutes

Ingredients
Vermicelli / Semiya -1 cup
Sugar-5 tbsp ( or as required)
Milk- half a cup
Banana (Plantains)- 1
Salt
Ghee
Nuts of your choice

1. In a non-stick pan add ghee and toss the chopped plantain until light golden. Keep them aside.
2. In the same pan, fry vermicelli / semiya for few seconds. I used thin vermicelli.
3. In another pan, boil half cup of milk plus 1 cup of water.
4. Pour this boiled milk to the fried vermicelli in the pan and cook the vermicelli well in this milk, stirring continuously.
5. When the vermicelli is half done, add a pinch of salt and sugar.
6. When it becomes thick and all the moisture evaporates, add 2 tsp of melted ghee. Stir continuously and it starts to leave from the sides of the pan. Now switch off the flame.
7. The assembling should be done immediately. Once cooled, it is very difficult to shape the cooked vermicelli.
8. So for assembling, take a cake mold or any bowl and grease the mold well with melted ghee.
9. Spread half of the cooked vermicelli to the bowl and gently press and shape it using back of a spoon.
10. Then spread the fried banana over it evenly. Again drop the remaining cooked vermicelli to cover the roasted banana. Spread by gently pressing and shape it very well.
11. Keep it refrigerated for 15 - 30 minutes. Or can keep it aside for 1 hour.
12.Loosen the sides very carefully with a sharp knife and flip it to a serving plate. Garnish with nuts of your choice.
